Welcome to Bonita Camper´s FAQ section! We want to make sure your experience with us is a smooth and satisfying as possible, and to that end we´ve compiled a series of common questions that our customers often have. From details about our services to questions about reservations and policies, here you will find clear and concise answers so you can make the most of your camper adventure.
Where to spend the night on the island?
You can spend the night in many places on the island. To choose the best spots, we recommend downloading the Park4night app (available for iOS and Android).
Do I need to bring bedding or towels?
We like to take care of the details and make sure our adventurers have everything they need.
The campers are equipped with bedding, towels, and slippers.
In our campers, you can prepare any meal just like you would at home.
We include: dishes, cutlery, glasses, cups, pans, pots, coffee maker, juicer, cutting board, knives, corkscrew, kitchen towel, dishcloth, scouring pad, dish soap, etc.
What kind of water tanks do the campervans have?
There are three tanks: fresh water, grey water (from the shower, sink, and kitchen), and black water (from the toilet). You can empty and fill the tanks at service areas and campsites.
Is the campervan insured? Is a deposit required?
The camper has comprehensive insurance with a €600 deductible, which the renter must pay in case of an accident or vehicle defects.
This deposit will be returned after the camper has been inspected.
Can I leave La Palma with the campervan?
No, it is not permitted to leave the island with the camper.
Are there any areas we can't access with the campervan?
Based on our own experience and for the safety of our guests, there are a number of places where we do not allow access with our camper:
- Poris de Candelaria
- Playa de la Veta
- Carretera de las Mimbreras
- Low-traffic dirt tracks
Do you have child seats? And booster seats?
Yes, upon request and as an extra, we have baby seats and booster seats.
Do I need a special driving license? Is there a minimum age for renting?
No special license is required; a Class B driving license held for more than two years is sufficient. Drivers must be at least 25 years old.
Can I plug in my laptop in the camper?
We’ve included a 220V inverter for one of the outlets, allowing our adventurers to plug in any electronic device.
Where do I pick up and return the camper?
The pick-up and drop-off location will be arranged with the adventurers. It is essential that it be a spacious area for inspection. The vehicle can be picked up and returned at La Palma Airport. This is an additional service with a cost of €20.
Can I travel with my pet?
Of course! Just make sure you transport your pet according to regulations. We cannot be held responsible for how you transport your pet. We include an additional pet package.
Can I smoke or light candles in the vehicle?
No, smoking is not allowed. You’re always just a step away from stepping out of the van and enjoying the fresh air.
We also can’t allow candles inside the vehicle for safety reasons. That’s why we’ve included a portable LED lamp.
What happens if I get a ticket?
Even if the deposit has been returned, the adventurer is responsible for any fines of any kind issued during the rental period.
There is a fixed speed camera at the La Caldera de Taburiente Visitor Center with a speed limit of 50 km/h.
